Charlene S. Gibson is an award-winning tenured communication professor, international speaker,
consultant, and communication and career coach. She helps clients elevate their careers and earning
potential by building their skill and confidence in public speaking and presentation, and
trains/consults organizations in communication, culture, and climate. Charlene is also co-creator
and Associate Producer of the Emmy-nominated documentary, No Greater Odds.
Known as an incredibly passionate, dynamic, and engaging professor, Charlene challenges her students
– known as #TeamGibson – to find their passion and reach their fullest potential through excellent
public speaking that opens doors and changes lives. Additionally, as a faculty ambassador for
Blackstone Launchpad, she is dedicated to the development, education, and support of small
businesses and entrepreneurs in Nevada.
Having also lived and worked abroad in Asia and Europe, Charlene is a highly sought-after
international speaker, presenter and trainer. With years of incredible travel, work, and performance
opportunities, her engagements are captivating experiences that energize, inspire and entertain. She
is also incredibly passionate about sharing the NICU journey of her youngest niece, who was born
three months early weighing only one pound, nine ounces.
As a consultant, Charlene works around the country sharing her passion and expertise on a variety of
topics with educational institutions, corporations, military bases, and nonprofit organizations. As
a career and communication coach, she helps people find their public speaking and presentation
potential and hone their skills to build confidence and expertise to advance their careers and
earning power. She also specializes in coaching adjunct instructors to prepare for and pursue
full-time and tenure-track opportunities in higher education.
Finally, Charlene is proud to be Co-Creator and Associate Producer of the Emmy-nominated
documentary, No Greater Odds, a powerful documentary that follows the inspirational stories of five
community college students who seek to better their lives and futures through higher education.
